Paul Morrisett was born and raised in Houston’s Southgate neighborhood. He has been building new homes in the Houston area since he graduated from Baylor University with a degree in finance and management in 2004. His degree positioned him to be successful in managing a variety of projects while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.

“My goal has always been to build homes for my clients that are of a caliber that I would be proud to call my own,” he said.

Paul has used his construction expertise to serve as a volunteer with Rebuild Houston, and as the construction outreach coordinator for his church. In his spare time, Paul enjoys spending time fishing, sailing, and wakeboarding on Lake Buchanan with his wife, Kristen, and their three boys. In the evenings he enjoys training his two retrievers, Millie and Darby.

Don Machen brings over 30 years of experience to the custom and production home building industry in the Houston area. As a seasoned builder, Don has established himself as a trusted professional who values collaboration and excellence in every project.

Don prides himself in working closely with architects, designers, trades and homeowners—building relationships and working as a team to create exceptional homes. He believes home building is a transformative process that goes beyond construction fundamentals. Don approaches each project with dedication and purpose, finding fulfillment in the productive work that turns spaces into homes that fulfill his clients’ dreams.

When not on the job site, Don enjoys listening to live music and spending time in the Texas Hill Country. He has been married for 29 years and is the proud father of two young adult children.

Jonathan Spoon grew up just south of Houston in Lake Jackson.  He moved to Houston in 2010 after graduating with a Construction Technology Degree from Texas State University.

Jonathan brings a wealth of 15+ years of construction management experience to the Morrisett Builder’s team.  He has built custom homes, production homes, and worked as a subcontractor supervising tile, metal, and shingle roofs.  From his varied experiences in the field of construction, Jonathan learned how to manage projects efficiently with a keen eye for detail and exceptional customer service.   He gained a successful following for over five years with some of Houston’s most talented architects.

When working with Jonathan, it is evident that he loves what he does, building people’s dreams.  Outside of work, Jonathan loves entertaining his three young boys and spending time with his college sweetheart, Shannon.

Shields Stockdale comes from a long line of Houstonians. He was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and returned to his hometown after graduating from Texas Tech University with a degree in liberal arts. Upon his return, Shields became a professional framer, drywaller and interior specialist. Sites he has contributed to include Hotel Zaza, Jewish Family Services, the Memorial Herman Children’s ER and The Lawn at Memorial City – Memorial City Mall.

Shields’ interest in homebuilding began at the age of 12, when he was on a mission trip to Mexico with his church. At that time, Shields realized his passion was twofold. He not only loves to build and maintain houses, but he also cherishes the relationships of those who call that house their home.

Shields uses his first-hand experience to aid in all aspects of the project, including maintenance. He takes pride in being readily available for any situation. In his spare time, Shields enjoys riding bikes, swimming and fishing with his daughters.

Growing up in the suburbs of Southwest Houston, Samuel Tran observed the expansion of Houston neighborhoods with intrigue.
After high school, Samuel began working as a firefighter in the Harris County/ Fort Bend area. Here, he learned the intricacies of building structures which sparked a deeper interest in home building. During his college years, Samuel worked in the hospitality industry as a server, bartender and events coordinator for Tiny Boxwoods, where hospitality became his specialty and customer service his passion. Samuel graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Construction Management and joined Morrisett Builders in 2024.

“Home building is much more than building plans, construction schedules, or plumbing and electrical. It is truly where families and friends will create memories for generations. Knowing that clients trust me with something so special makes every day’s work meaningful.”
In his spare time, Samuel enjoys traveling the world with his fiancé, Elizabeth, laughing endlessly with his family and friends, and giving belly rubs to his American Bully, Charlie.

Nathan Villasenor grew up in the suburbs of Southwest Houston.  After graduating with a degree in Petroleum Engineering in 2019, he pivoted and began his professional career as a tech consultant helping Fortune100 companies in every major sector. Wanting to help people on a more personal level, Nathan eventually made a career change into home building.

“I love that every day brings new challenges. The gratification I get from seeing a project through from the ground up is only second to the gratification I get from working hand in hand with homeowners.”

In his spare time, Nathan enjoys spending time with his two dogs, traveling the world, and collecting pickleball medals.

Client Service Supervisor | 713.409.7720

Jon Johnson joins Morrisett Builders filling a critical role as Client Service Supervisor, focusing on service work for existing clients.

In 2020, Jon began his career in construction at a restoration company. There, he gained hands-on experience in damage assessment and emergency response for residential and commercial properties, often working around the clock. His responsibilities included demolition of damaged materials such as drywall, cabinetry, and flooring as well as taking precise measurements to restore homes following water damage. Jon was promoted to Senior Technician, leading and mentoring new hires while managing complex restoration projects.

After gaining valuable experience, he took the next step in his career as a Project Manager for the Artisan Group. For three years, he managed projects in some of Houston’s premier neighborhoods. Working under a leader with more than 30+ years of construction experience allowed Jon to continuously refine his skills, and deliver high quality results while meeting the unique needs of each client and project. This experience taught him the value of prioritizing clients, communicating effectively, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Outside of work, Jon enjoys spending time with his wife Sarah and daughter Eliza. Whether they are exploring parks around Houston, walking their two dogs, Lillie and Alex, or discovering new family-friendly activities, Jon values making the most of family time. At his core, he prioritizes faith, family, and meaningful relationships with others.
