Houston native Philip Morrisett has been transforming the landscape of Houston’s homes since 2007. With a degree in business management from the University of Houston-Downtown, he has always felt at home managing new projects out in the field. Philip began working alongside David Stone at Texas Fine Homes in 2008. In 2015, he became a partner in the firm. Three years later, armed with a wealth of firsthand experience running and growing the company, he made the exciting leap to launch a company of his own: Morrisett Builders.
Philip has received various awards and accolades through the years, most notably including the construction of a new custom home on the 2018 AIA Tour. Philip also personally managed a project that received the Preservation Houston Good Brick Award, an honor given for rehabilitation work of a property located in Houston’s Boulevard Oaks Historic District. In addition to home restoration work, Philip enjoys restoring vehicles and spending time with his wife, Emily, and their three daughters.
Philip’s passion is excellence at every juncture of the construction process. He employs master tradesmen, subcontractors and project management who obsess over every detail, from demolition to professional photos after completion. Equally important is Philip’s desire to continue the relationship with the homeowner into the maintenance phase, long after the initial project is completed. The end result? A product that is built to appreciate.

Paul Morrisett was born and raised in Houston’s Southgate neighborhood. He has been building new homes in the Houston area since he graduated from Baylor University with a degree in finance and management in 2004. His degree positioned him to be successful in managing a variety of projects while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.
“My goal has always been to build homes for my clients that are of a caliber that I would be proud to call my own,” he said.
Paul has used his construction expertise to serve as a volunteer with Rebuild Houston, and as the construction outreach coordinator for his church. In his spare time, Paul enjoys spending time fishing, sailing, and wakeboarding on Lake Buchanan with his wife, Kristen, and their three boys. In the evenings he enjoys training his two retrievers, Millie and Darby.

Jonathan Spoon grew up just south of Houston in Lake Jackson. He moved to Houston in 2010 after graduating with a Construction Technology Degree from Texas State University.
Jonathan brings a wealth of construction management experience to the Morrisett Builder’s team. He has built custom homes, production homes, and worked as a subcontractor supervising tile, metal, and shingle roofs. From his varied experiences in the field of construction, Jonathan learned how to manage projects efficiently with a keen eye for detail and exceptional custom service. He gained a successful following for over five years with some of Houston’s most talented architects.
When working with Jonathan, it is evident that he loves what he does, building people’s dreams. Outside of work, Jonathan loves entertaining his three young boys and spending time with his college sweetheart, Shannon.

Shields Stockdale comes from a long line of Houstonians. He was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and returned to his hometown after graduating from Texas Tech University with a degree in liberal arts. Upon his return, Shields became a professional framer, drywaller and interior specialist. Sites he has contributed to include Hotel Zaza, Jewish Family Services, the Memorial Herman Children’s ER and The Lawn at Memorial City – Memorial City Mall.
Shields’ interest in homebuilding began at the age of 12, when he was on a mission trip to Mexico with his church. At that time, Shields realized his passion was twofold. He not only loves to build and maintain houses, but he also cherishes the relationships of those who call that house their home.
Shields uses his first-hand experience to aid in all aspects of the project, including maintenance. He takes pride in being readily available for any situation. In his spare time, Shields enjoys riding bikes, swimming and fishing with his daughters.

Nathan Villasenor grew up in the suburbs of Southwest Houston. After graduating with a degree in Petroleum Engineering in 2019, he pivoted and began his professional career as a tech consultant helping fortune100 companies in every major sector. After some time in this role, he knew a change needed to be made. Nathan eventually found homebuilding as a way to help people on a more personal level.
“I love that every day brings new challenges. The gratification I get from seeing a project through from the ground up is only second to the gratification I get from working hand in hand with homeowners.”
In his spare time, Nathan enjoys spending time with his wife and their 4 dogs.
